What will I learn if I participate in the Dream Venture Masterclasses? 

This program is dedicated to providing young Indigenous Australian entrepreneurs with the connections, capabilities and access to capital to ensure their businesses achieve their full potential.   

The 6-week online curriculum covers content such as: 

  • Defining and articulating your value proposition 
  • Developing a winning go-to-market strategy 
  • Evaluating investment opportunities, and  
  • Preparing your investment pitch.  

Who operates the Dream Venture Masterclasses? 

Minderoo Foundation is delivering the Dream Venture Masterclasses in partnership with training delivery partner, The Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship.  

How many places are available? 

The Masterclasses will run in two streams. There are 20 spots available for ambitious business owners aged between 18-30. There will also be an all-ages cohort with a further 20 places available.  

Will I have to take time off work to attend the classes? 

The contact hours are scheduled to have minimal disruption to work and family commitments, however some flexibility may be required. The Masterclass will run for 2 hours per week for 6 weeks with opt-in sessions for mentoring and additional learning opportunities. Full participation in live discussion is recommended to get the most out of this experience.  

How do I attend the courses and what is the cost? 

Minderoo Foundation has teamed up with the Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship to deliver the Masterclasses in 2023. The Masterclasses are free and delivered online via zoom and Intuto learning management system. Finalists will travel to Sydney in October to pitch on stage  for a chance to share in $200 thousand of seed funding. 

Selected founders who are also a primary carer may be eligible for family support during the Masterclass. Please note, to access this contribution additional criteria will need to be satisfied during the shortlisting of applications.  

Will Minderoo Foundation cover flight costs to Sydney? 

Minderoo will cover the cost of flights and accommodation to Sydney for finalists chosen to pitch at the Gala event on October 24th.
